Instructions

Step 1

The guitar is the instrument that requires special care, periodic replacement of strings, the most accurate and professional tuning, it is then that it produces a melodic and beautiful sound.

Remove the old strings. To do this, you need to loosen the headstock with the tuning mechanism so that the strings do not sag, but are only slightly weakened. Be careful, abrupt rapid changes in the tension of the strings sometimes leads to deformation of the neck of the guitar.

Step 2

Unscrew the peg and remove the old string from the holder. Remember that you do not need to take out all the strings at once, in the future there may be problems with tightening new ones, you simply will not know which and where to pull. Start changing strings.

Step 3

Start replacing with whatever string you feel comfortable with. Take a new one matching the elongated old one. Secure the string in the holder and tie a knot.

Step 4

Make a knot as follows. First, tie a small loop in several turns and then tighten it tightly. Several turns when tying should be done so that the string does not slip. Do not over tighten when tightening, as the string may break.

Step 5

Leave a small ponytail, about 2-3 cm, after tying the knot. The rest can be cut with regular wire cutters.

After tying the knot, insert a new string instead of the old one into the small hole on the tuning peg. In this case, pass the first three strings through the hole two times, for greater reliability.

Step 6

Tie all subsequent strings of the instrument in the same way. With all this, tying a string and making a knot, it is recommended to make several turns for 1-3 strings, the rest can be tied with an ordinary single knot.

Proceed to tuning the instrument, because after tying the strings, you need to properly stretch them and tune the sound.
