Oleg Dal is a Soviet theater and film actor, author of poems and theatrical performances. He was married three times and only the last marriage was successful for him, but none of the wives bore him children.
Oleg Dal and his success story
Oleg Dal was born in 1941 in the city of Lyublino, Moscow Region. Since childhood, he was fond of music, studied in a theater studio. After leaving school, Dal entered the Shchepkin Higher Theater School and successfully graduated from it.
Immediately after graduation, the actor made his debut in the cinema. The first works were the roles in the films "My little brother", "The man who doubts." The actor's filmography includes 59 works of a diverse genre, many of which were included in the gold reserve of Soviet cinema. Dahl was especially popular with the film Chronicle of a Dive Bomber.
In addition to cinema, Oleg Ivanovich played on the stage of the theater and considered himself a theater actor. In 1968 he brilliantly played Vaska Ash in the play "At the Bottom". Dahl was characterized by the breadth of the creative range. He could play any character and even starred in children's fairy tales. At the same time, Oleg Ivanovich was very demanding in the choice of roles. He refused proposals from directors if something was not pleasant in the script.
Happy marriage with Elizabeth Dahl
Oleg Dal's personal life has always been stormy. He fell in love easily, but more often than not, feelings quickly faded away. Not every woman could get along with such a complex person. The first wife of the actor Nina Doroshina ran away from him immediately after the wedding. The second marriage with Tatyana Lavrova lasted no more than six months.
Dahl found his happiness with Elizaveta Eichenbaum, who worked as an editor on the set of King Lear. This woman endured all the emotional storms of the actor, understood and accepted, touchingly took care of him. Elizabeth admitted in an interview that the marriage with the actor was built solely on her patience. Oleg Dal could not talk to her for weeks, not let her into his office. Guests often gathered in the apartment, arranged noisy feasts.
Lisa was absolutely not a public person and this attracted a famous actor. He himself did not like mass events, social events. Dahl often complained about the hypocrisy and deceit of some representatives of the artistic environment. But the biggest problem darkening family happiness was the actor's addiction to alcohol. He went into binges and did not control himself. Despite all this, Oleg Ivanovich was a good husband. He often spoiled his wife with gifts, made unexpected surprises. The famous actor had an excellent relationship with Elizabeth's mother. In the last years of his life, he lived in a four-room apartment with his wife, his mother and mother-in-law. Elizaveta looked after both women, and Oleg provided for the family.
Why Oleg Dal did not have children
Oleg Dal was very fond of children and wanted to have a big family. The third wife of the actor Elizabeth admitted that they began to think about children immediately after the wedding. But the plans were not destined to come true. Doctors could not find a reason that could prevent the famous actor and his wife from becoming parents. Perhaps Oleg Dal's wrong lifestyle had a negative impact on his health.
Elizabeth said that she and her husband wanted to adopt a child. But in those days it was difficult to do this and the need to collect a large number of papers, to comply with a number of conditions, stopped them. Dal was worried that he could not even communicate with his niece Tatyana. With his own sister, he did not develop a personal relationship.
Death of an actor
In the last years of his life, Oleg Ivanovich often fell into depression. He could suddenly cry or laugh out loud, disrupt the performance. At the funeral of Vladimir Vysotsky, Dal for some reason said that he would be next. The actor died in 1981 during a tour in Kiev. After sitting in the restaurant, he went to his room, and in the morning he was found dead. Oleg Ivanovich died of cardiac arrest.
