Step 1
Decor with flowers. A dress decorated with small wild roses, snow-white lilies or red gerberas will definitely please you. Artificial flowers will look tempting both on a dress of the simplest cut and on multi-tiered lush cuts. Secure small buds with fishing line or mono thread along the edges of the bodice, at the base of the skirt. Large voluminous flowers look good on a long train, in the cuts of the skirt and at the base of the corset. Use ready-made décor or make your own jewelery using pieces of white satin, for example.
Step 2
Rhinestones. Decorate the dress with sewing rhinestones if the outfit has a pure white top. Mark the location of the drawing with a simple pencil, leaving small dots. Choose simple patterns that include large rhinestones in the form of drops, rice and circles.
If you decide to decorate the skirt of the dress or just the hem, then you should secure the rhinestones with a glue gun and rubber glue. This way you will save time and your work will look neat. The basic rule when decorating a wedding dress with rhinestones is to decorate a separate element. Do not sprinkle the entire product with shiny fittings.
Step 3
Lace. Decorate the petticoats of the dress with thin lace gathered in ruffles, make a frill on the bodice or on gloves. Cut out individual elements from a large lace fabric. Secure them to the outfit with pins, make sure the decor is in place and matches the tone of the fabric of the dress itself. Baste the decoration with a thin thread along the very edge. In the work, you can use pearl beads or seed beads, giving the lace volume and originality.
Step 4
Satin ribbons. Tie a large bow from a wide ribbon, decorate it with a pendant in the shape of a crystal or a drop, fasten a knot with threads so that the bow does not come loose. The decoration can be used in the decoration of a train, at the base of a corset, in cuts of fluffy skirts, if they are arranged in a cascade.
From a wide ribbon or crepe-satin fabric, make an obi belt that will accentuate a thin waist and emphasize color. For example, if the groom's suit is made of deep blue material, then pick up a ribbon of the same shade and tie it around the belt of a snow-white dress.
Step 5
Make the skirt fluffy by adding lightness and volume to it. Take a piece of tulle, gather it, then baste along the edge to the main petticoat of the wedding dress. In this way, you can expand the skirt, giving it the shape of a bell, or make it look like a bud of a wild flower, if you sew tulle in a cascade around the entire lower panel.
Step 6
Use different types of chiffon and satin to create a train. It will be difficult to pick up the main fabric to match the outfit, therefore layering is permissible for the train, creating a mixture of shades. The bottom layer is made of chiffon fabric with dimensions: width 100 cm, and length from 1, 20 - 2 m. Process the edges of the fabric on an overlock.
