Many of us are addicted to mixingbooking, scrapbooking and other forms of "turning" ordinary things into exclusive ones. This article will discuss how to make the most beautiful vintage-style tags.

It is necessary

  • We need:
  • 1. Thick brown cardboard (I used cardboard from the packaging. It contained a paper package from the USA)
  • 2. Retro stickers or clippings (I just photocopied the cover of the notebook from:)
  • 3. A leaf from a notebook for notes
  • 4. Sheet with notes (you can print any notes or copy them, as I did)
  • 5. Watercolor pencils of different colors (or ordinary pencils, if there are no watercolors), a simple pencil, a black gel pen, an eraser, a ruler, scissors, glue stick and double-sided tape (but you can do without it. It just keeps better).
  • 6. A plate with strongly brewed tea.
  • So, let's begin!

Instructions

Step 1

Stage 1. "Aging" of paper.

1. Take a leaf and a plate of tea. I preferred to use a sponge to apply tea to paper. Be sure (!) To put a cloth or towel under the leaf, which is not afraid to get dirty. A newspaper or something like that WON'T FIT! moisture can transfer ink to the sheet music, but we don't need it. So, we take a sponge and begin to gently blot our notes. DO NOT ATTEMPT to "paint" with a sponge like a paintbrush. This may deteriorate the drawing, and the paper may roll into spools.

2. When you see that enough tea has been applied to the leaves, dry them thoroughly with a hairdryer. DO NOT BE AFRAID if the paper becomes uneven. This is good, it will further emphasize the vintage style of our badges.

3. When the sheets are dry and ready to go, you can set them aside.

Step 2

Stage 2. "Creation" of the base.

1. We draw a template on an ordinary sheet of white paper (you can draw directly on cardboard, but it is still better to do it first on paper). To do this, draw a rectangle 9 cm high and 6 cm wide. Then we measure 2 centimeters from the sides and 2 centimeters from the top.

2. Outline the stencil on the cardboard and cut out the bases for the labels. (You can do as many as you like. In this lesson, I show three)

Step 3

Stage 3. Decorating with notes.

1. Take our "aged" sheet of music and cut out three completely arbitrary shapes from it. We glue them in the way we want the edges to stick out strongly.

2. Cut off all unnecessary.

Step 4

Stage 4. We continue to decorate.

1. Take our "aged" sheet of music and cut out three arbitrary shapes from it. We glue them on tags in the same way as notes. We cut off all unnecessary.

2. From the pictures I cut out various shapes. It turned out, as it were, stickers. We choose the ones that fit our taste and stick them on the tags. We cut off the excess, if any. It is not necessary to use all the clippings. With the rest, you can decorate a postcard or a smeshbuk.:)

Step 5

Stage 5. Completion of work.

1. Cut out "plaques" from cardboard - rectangles 2.5 cm high and 4 cm wide. We glue them on tags (I decided to do this using double-sided tape, so they will hold on more securely)

2. We take a black gel pen and write something on the tags (You can write your name, some other words … At your discretion)
