For full-fledged and harmonious mental and creative development, children need to have a personal space in which they can comfortably place their creative work, write, play and draw. The best option for organizing a children's space is a low children's table. You can make such a table yourself from wood.

Instructions

Step 1

The table consists of several parts - legs, two drawers, which ensure the rigidity of the structure, as well as the table top itself. Use pine boards or plywood 10-12 mm thick as the material for the table cover. For the legs, use sturdier birch boards 30 mm thick and 130 mm wide. From birch or beech, make a bar for two tsars.

Step 2

Cut the board for the table legs to a thickness of 25 mm. Mark the board and cut the legs with a circular saw. Start by sawing out one leg, and then, using its length as a template, saw out all the other legs of the table. Work the edges of the legs with a plane, file and sandpaper.

Step 3

Connect the legs together with round spikes with a diameter of 10 cm. Make a table cover by sanding it and, if necessary, pasting the wooden board with plywood on both sides. Finish the edges of the backboard carefully.

Step 4

Saw out longitudinal drawers from wooden blanks, having previously marked the wooden beam with a pencil. Give the drawers a curved shape from the bottom edge. On each side of both side bars, cut 15 mm spikes, and then make sockets in the legs for attaching the side bars with these spikes.

Step 5

Fasten the drawers on the legs, and then firmly fasten the table top on top of the entire structure. Make sure the structure is flat and that the lid fits snugly against the frame. Use wood glue to assemble the structure.

Step 6

To fix the cover, drill holes in the upper end of the legs and insert wooden spikes there. Attach the cover on the thorns, pressing it firmly against the structure. Paint the table or paint it with durable, non-toxic paint.
